With a world that has been turned upside down with Covid-19 pandemic, the real estate market has turned more to the internet and virtual real estate than ever before. Virtual open houses and virtual tours have become more commonplace and many buyers and sellers have embraced it. And Weichert agents around the country have embraced the way to virtual transactions.
Our office has been doing virtual tours for years but now many agents are doing exterior and interior personalized videos of homes. Contracts and disclosures can be filled out and signed online and more and more agents are taking advantage of the online time savings. One buyer made an offer on a house here in Waterbury, CT after viewing an online video of the home while he was in Spain! His offer was outbid but a few years ago real estate agents would not even think of such a thing.
The current world crisis may just have given us a glimpse of how real estate transactions will be in the future. I suggest that we can be just as professional in a Zoom meeting as we can be in person. Let's all get good at it!
